Volleyball Championships

Toby got tickets to the NCAA Men's Volleyball Championship tournament for his birthday. Trent did some babysitting for us so that we could go to the final 4, but we took Zeke with us to the Championship game. The game was sooo intense and very exciting. It was UC Irvine vs. USC. UC Irvine won in the 5th game 15-12.

We sat in the nosebleed section so Zeke could have a little more room to run around.
Ok, this isn't the greatest picture of us, but I don't have very many of us on here so it will have to do for now.

Fun in Oregon

Our first day in Oregon we headed over to a very fun play place for Zeke. He wasn't quite big enough to enjoy the big slides, but he loved the ball pits and the miniature slide.

Zeke loved playing at Grandma and Grandpa Lander's house. They had all kinds of fun toys... a car for him to drive, dirt, rocks and WATER!!! He spent hours helping out in the green houses.

If we were headed over to the nursery, I knew we had to pack an extra pair of clothes. There was no way we were getting out of there without Zeke being completely soaked.

Zeke also loved helping Grandma with her yard work. She is great at taking the time to play with each of her grand kids.

A Day at the Beach

Zeke and I were spoiled by Grandma Lander and given a plane ticket to Oregon. We spent a week playing with cousins and having a blast. Toby joined us for the second half of the week to get in a little bit of playing himself. On one day, we went to Bandon to play at the beach. For those of you that don't know, I'm a beach girl through and through. There is no place I would rather be then sitting by the ocean. Turns out, Zeke loves it as much as I do.
Oops... I really didn't want this to happen, but what can you do.

I don't think he minded being wet. He was in HEAVEN!!! Water and sand... what more could a little boy need?

That's right... a shovel. Now his joy is complete.
Zeke had so much fun getting to know his cousin, Joshua a little better. They had a lot of fun playing together.

I had fun hanging out with my sister-in-law, Deborah.

This is such a classic Zeke face. It's his "what do you think you are doing" face.

The sand wasn't quite as tasty as he thought it might be.

18 month check up

Zeke had his 18 month check up last week and I figured I might as well post his stats on here. Keep in mind I was a month late getting him in so I guess we could call it his 19 month check up.
Ezekiel Daniel
Length: 33''
Weight 30 lbs
Head Circ: 52.1 (that is huge by the way)
He has always had a huge head and weighed a ton. His weight is finally under 95% and his length is a little more average. I can't believe how much he is growing up. He talks all the time. I call him my little parrot. Right now I hear "MOOOMMMM" more than anything else and a lot of "help, please". We just got a new slide, thanks to my amazing visiting teacher, and he loves going outside to play.

Sewing with Mom

A few weekends ago I begged my mom to come and help me do a little bit of this....

Being the trooper that she is, she drove down and spent 2 whole days working on a sewing project with me. Toby was the best dad ever and kept Zeke busy for us. They worked in the garden, went on outings to the park and did a lot of just playing outside.

Nana couldn't stand to miss out on all the fun, so I let her take a few brakes to get some time in with her favorite grandson.

Due to my mom's expertise, we managed to whip up this adorable bedding set. We made 2 sheets, a bumper pad and a crib skirt. I'm on my own for the quilt. It was so much fun working on the project with my mom. She didn't need a pattern or anything and just figured out the best way to do everything. Not to mention she taught me some cool new tricks on my sewing machine.
