For the 4th of July we went down to the neighborhood party at the retirement center behind our house. They keep outdoing themselves with a BBQ, blow up slides and games. The boys loved it all.
Afterwards we did some of our own fireworks. Porter was a little nervous at first but was soon enjoying himself.
We went down to the fireworks in Pleasant Grove this year. The weather couldn't decide what it wanted to do and kept trying to rain on us. We kept busy with snacks, games and books.
When the fireworks finally started, Porter was scared again. He sat in my lap with my hands over his ears. By the time the fireworks were over, he had fallen asleep.
